The Natives Are Restless
One thousand atomic years ago, a generation ship from Earth on an exploratory mission was steered off course by mysterious forces, crash-landing safely in an unknown part of the universe on an alien planet. Finding the new world already populated by hyper-intelligent supernatural immortals, a long period of strife ensued as the native population split violently over the idea of accepting newcomers.
Unable to leave the planet and return to space due to equally mysterious forces, humanity developed peaceful interactions with open-minded sects of natives, forming critical alliances that allowed them to succeed. The intermingling of civilizations invariably led to a mixed population, complicating ties between both sides and introducing vicious new diseases in the form of rabidity.

Elias J. Pendergast is the current president of sovereign hunting company Silatem, an organization that has remained an independent world security authority since the days of the generation ship. Silatem has grown in relevancy and power due to the rise of infectious outbreaks as the population grows, cementing their position in the developing hierarchies of their strange new world.
In the present, Elias continues to reel from the brutal execution of his father Admiral John Pendergast, who was slain by the hostile native cult Sinum shortly after the elder was elected to the highest office of the human alliance.
